Born in 1855, Sidi Muhammad al-Hadi Pasha was a prominent figure in Tunisian history, serving as Bey and ruler of the Husainid Dynasty in Tunisia. The Husainids had ruled Tunisia since 1705, and Sidi Muhammad al-Hadi Pasha was the 11th Bey of the dynasty. The Bey's uniform in the photograph is adorned with an impressive array of decorations, signifying his high rank and status.
