Nipper a kennel bred working terrier like all other dogs feels the cold these
Nipper a kennel bred working terrier like all other dogs feels the cold these days. He belongs to horse trainer Scottie Pringle of Newmarket. When Scottie or his family take the dog around the stables Nipper runs in to a pony enclosure to have a few minutes chat with his pal Nip the pony. First he looks up to the pony as if to say good morning then he coinually turns his head so that the ponys Hot Breath goes into each ear. Mr. Pringle said his daughter Madge first noticed this especially in very cold weather. Nip the pony breaths warm air over Nippers head. December 1969 Z12530-004

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this heartwarming photo print, we see Nipper, a kennel bred working terrier, seeking warmth and companionship on a chilly day. Like any other dog, Nipper feels the cold these days and has found solace in the company of his pal, Nip the pony. Owned by horse trainer Scottie Pringle of Newmarket, Nipper often accompanies his family around the stables. As they approach the pony enclosure, an undeniable bond between these two animals becomes evident. First thing in the morning, Nipper looks up at Nip as if to say good morning before positioning himself strategically for maximum warmth. With each turn of his head, he allows the ponys hot breath to flow into each ear. This endearing behavior was first noticed by Mr. Pringle's daughter Madge during particularly frigid weather conditions. It seems that Nippers clever solution to combatting the cold lies in harnessing the warm air emitted by his equine friend. The photograph captures a unique friendship between two different species - dogs and ponies - showcasing their ability to find comfort and connection despite their differences. This adorable moment from December 1969 reminds us of how animals can bring joy and unexpected moments of humor into our lives.
