Coventry Cathedral Choir is preparing a feast of music for a major tour of the USA later this year, during which it will act as an ambassador for the city. The 40-strong choir is about to start weeks of intensive rehearsals for a programme of some 16 performances in more than 10 cities. The Lord Mayor of Coventry, Counncillor Walter Brandish, treated 20 boys, aged from 10 to 14, to an orange juice reception and gave each of them a badge to wear on the trip. He also took them on a tour of the Council House.
