All is safely gathered in... Staff at Own Owen, Broadgate, Coventry
All is safely gathered in... Staff at Own Owen, Broadgate, Coventry, singing hymns before the store opened. It is the second year running that a harvest service has been held at the store. This year, the Coventry Cathedral choirboys sang at the service. Staff brought produce which was later distributed to the elderly in the city. Perishable goods were being given to pensioners who had worked at Owen Owen, at their monthly tea party today. The Rev. Denis Claringbull, the industrial chaplain, and the Rev. Nigel Abbott, Vicar of Holy Trinity Chruch, conducted the service.

All is Safely Gathered In. . . Staff at Owen Owen, Broadgate, Coventry, gather together in harmony and spirit as they sing hymns before the store opens. This heartwarming tradition marks the second year of a joyous harvest service held right here at the store. Adding an extra touch of celestial enchantment this year, the angelic voices of Coventry Cathedral choirboys grace the occasion with their heavenly melodies. The dedicated staff members bring forth bountiful produce to be shared with those in need within our beloved city. Later on, these precious offerings will be distributed among the elderly residents who have worked tirelessly for Owen Owen throughout their lives. Today's monthly tea party becomes even more special as perishable goods find their way into grateful hands. Guiding this beautiful ceremony are two esteemed clergymen - Reverend Denis Claringbull, an industrial chaplain known for his unwavering support for workers' well-being; and Reverend Nigel Abbott, Vicar of Holy Trinity Church. Their presence adds a spiritual dimension to this celebration of abundance and gratitude. This photograph captures not just a moment frozen in time but also embodies the essence of community coming together to celebrate life's blessings amidst humble surroundings. It serves as a poignant reminder that true wealth lies not only in material possessions but also in acts of kindness and compassion towards one another.
