The 15-year-old Dunston lad was chosen from 19 boys and girls to represent the region in the London final in January, when he stands a chance of a visit to the Moscow Olympics. He was presented with a portable Television set by Newcastle Chronicle and Journal Ltd. general circulation manager Mr. Geoff Clark. 10th December 1979
