EDITORS COMMENTS
Ten lucky Cleveland guides representing the North-East region are all smiles as they prepare to take part in the grand celebrations of Queen Mum's 90th Birthday in London. Tracey Hall, Lisa Cossavella, Kelly Waters, Miriam Brearley, Kelly Chilvers, Kelly We all, Joanne Dimmock, Emma Rigby, Anna Marie Rollings and Alma Hand from Easton Wesr district have been chosen to join a massive gathering of groups and organizations at Horse Guards Parade. In this heartwarming print captured on June 26th, 1992 during their momentous trip to the capital city, some of these young girls can be seen posing proudly alongside their leaders Carol Pattison and Mary Gray. Dressed impeccably in their uniform with badges shining brightly upon their chests, these childhood friends exude excitement and anticipation for the evening's festivities. This snapshot from the 1990s not only captures a special moment for these girl guides but also reflects the spirit of camaraderie and adventure that defines such youth organizations. It serves as a reminder of how activities like scouting shape young minds by instilling values like teamwork and leadership. As we look back on this nostalgic image courtesy of Memory Lane Prints' collection curated by Staff members (not affiliated with any company), it is evident that these ten girls will forever cherish being part of an event honoring one of Britain's most beloved figures – Queen Mum.
