Representatives off Admiral Doenitz and Field Marshall Keitel visited 2nd Army Headquarters and 21st
Army Group HQ on 3rd May to see Field Marshall Montgomery to request surrender terms for the German military forces.
They were General Admiral Hans-Georg Von Freideburg, Commander in Chief of the German Navy, General Inf. Kunzel, Chief of Staff to Field Marshall Busch, Kontur AdmiralWagner, Naval Liaison and an S.S.Staff Officer.
The 21st Army group headquarters was established in the Villa Mollering in the village of Hacklingen near Luneburg.
