Several Women Auxiliary Air Force (WaF) officers flew out direct from England to take up duties in the Northwest African theatre after the fall of Tunisia.
Some are doing codes and cypher work, others photographic interpretation as well as other special jobs.
A few of the WaF officers engaged on codes and cyphers, live in a picturesque French villa
just outside Algiers.
They work on day and nigh shifts and when off duty can enjoy all the entertainment and
amenities of the town.
