Exercise Herrick Eagle was a 16 Air Assault Brigade exercise, commanded and controlled by Commander 16 Air Assault Brigade. It involved a large number of Army and RAF units. The exercise was designed to integrate ground elements, attack aviation and Support Helicopters. The aim was to practice essential task force skills before possible deployment on Op Herrick, Afghanistan. The exercise took place over the period 23 January to 3 February 2006
