EDITORS COMMENTS
In this photo print, we are transported back to the year 1953, where the Junior Norton team is captured in all their glory. The camaraderie amongst these talented works riders is palpable as they line up for a memorable moment in racing history. On the leftmost side stands Ken Kavanagh, exuding confidence and determination. His eyes fixed on the track ahead, he prepares himself mentally for what lies ahead. Next to him is Ray Amm, who takes center stage as he meticulously lines up his lowline kneeler with precision. A true master of his craft, Amm's expertise shines through as he readies himself for an exhilarating race. Jack Brett proudly takes his place beside Amm, radiating strength and resilience. With years of experience under his belt, Brett's presence adds a sense of wisdom to this formidable team lineup. Finally, on the far right stands John Surtees - a young rider who stepped into Sid Lawton's shoes after an unfortunate crash during practice. As fate would have it though, Surtees faced adversity himself when he crashed his EMC bike before even starting the race. Despite this setback, there was no denying that victory was within reach for this remarkable team led by Ray Amm. Riding a standard Manx motorcycle with skill and finesse, Amm soared across the finish line triumphantly. This iconic image serves as a testament to not only their individual talents but also their unwavering dedication to pushing boundaries in pursuit
