Lala Amarnath - 1936 All-India Tour of England

Cricket - 1936 All-India Tour of England
Nanik Amarnath Bhardwaj, commonly known as Lala Amarnath.
The star all-rounder of the side, he was controversially sent home from the 1936 tour by divisive captain Maharajkumar of Vizianagram (aka Vizzy ). Nominally this was for disciplinary reasons, but many believed it was politically motivated, and the post-tour enquiry would exonerate Armarnath of any blame.
He was the first player to score a test century for India, on his debut in 1933, and he was also independent Indias first Test captain, leading the team on a tour of Australia in 1947-1948
