"HMS Kent (54), a British County class heavy cruiser, embarked on an historic voyage to the Far East as part of the Far East Commission itinerary between 1928 and 1931. Built in 1927, the HMS Kent was one of the most advanced cruisers of its time, boasting a top speed of 31 knots and carrying a formidable armament of ten 8-inch guns.
