The image, taken from Victor Dollet's Galerie Dramatique: Costumes des Theatres de Paris, is an illustration by Alexandre Lacauchie. Clarisse Midroy (1818-1891) was a celebrated actress of the Romantic era, known for her expressive and emotional performances.
