Native to South America, Guanacos are found in the Andes Mountains and Patagonian grasslands. This illustration, taken from The Naturalist's Pocket Magazine; or, Complete Cabinet of the Curiosities and Beauties of Nature, published by Harrison in London between 1798 and 1802, is a testament to the meticulous detail and artistry of the natural history illustrations of the time.
