The Grumman Wildcat, a single-seat mid-wing fleet fighter, was a pivotal aircraft during the Second World War, serving in both the Royal Air Force (RAF) and the United States Navy. Powered by either a Pratt & Whitney Twin-Wasp or Wright 9-cylinder Cyclone engine, each delivering 1,200 horsepower, this agile and robust fighter could reach top speeds of 325 and 330 mph respectively.
