EDITORS COMMENTS
This evocative photograph captures the facade of the Welsh Harp Public House, located in Homerton, London, during the 1930s. The image, taken in 1939, presents a striking view of the pub's exterior with its ornate brickwork and large, arched windows. The Welsh Harp was a popular local establishment, having served the community since at least 1934, as evidenced by the trading record detailed on the reverse of this print. The pub, which held the address E9 6EA, was a staple in the area for over three decades. Sadly, by July 2018, the Welsh Harp had closed its doors and was demolished in September 2015. This photograph serves as a poignant reminder of the history and character of this once-beloved public house in Homerton, London.
