Children of Golcar Junior, Infant and Nursery School welcomed the new Chinese year of the snake in traditional style. Here with their Chinese dragon, made by children of classes 10 and 11, are Stephen Wallis and Christine Green. Teachers Mrs Anne Firth and Mrs Pauline Scott organised the event. The children were also told the history of the 12-year Chinese cycle and the stories and the characters of the animals within it. 7th February 1989
