Youngsters from schools throughout Kirklees, pictured here making lanterns, have taken part in a Wacky Winter Weekend. The weekend, at Cliffe House, Shelley, is organised annually by the Kirklees Countryside Service. It aims to promote energy and environmental conservation and around 30 children, aged between 8 and 11 took part. The weekend included workshops, lantern making, environmental discussions and walks along an energy theme. 21st March 1992
