Players Navy Cut Cigarettes and Tobacco rectangular, convex counter card. The background is navy blue and on the left hand side is a picture of the head and shoulders of a sailor, in profile, smoking a pipe. The picture is framed by an art-deco geometric design. The text on the card reads " TOBACCO // AND // CIGARETTES // Players // NAVY CUT // John Player & Sons, Nottingham.". On the reverse is a support to allow the card to stand upright with an integral hanging loop or hoop. There is a label which reads " MARDONS // WINDOW NOVELTIES // EMBOSSED SHOWCARDS / &C, &C // VARNISHERS // GELATINERS & FRAME MAKERS // BRISTOL & LONDON."
