Aye Aye Photo Mug Collection

Aye Ayes are a type of nocturnal lemur found only on the island of Madagascar. They have long, bushy tails, large eyes and ears, and a unique set of teeth that allow them to gnaw through hard-shelled fruits and nuts. Aye Ayes have grayish-brown fur with white patches around their eyes and mouth. They have long fingers with sharp claws which they use to climb trees in search of food and are able to move quickly through the trees using their tail for balance, and are solitary animals and spend most of their time alone in the treetops eating insects, fruit, nectar, eggs, small vertebrates like lizards or birds' eggs as well as bark from dead branches. As a result of habitat destruction and hunting by humans they are now considered an endangered species.
