EDITORS COMMENTS
Great print capturing the Coventry City Football Club Division Two team of 1966-67. This historic image features manager Jimmy Hill (seated center) with his players, who would go on to achieve great success in the following seasons. In the back row, from left to right, are Brian Hill, John Mitten, Alan Harris, Ron Farmer, and Dietmar Bruck. Dietmar Bruck, an Austrian international, was a key addition to the team, bringing valuable experience and skill to the midfield. Middle row players include George Curtis, Kenneth Keyworth, Bob Wesson, Bill Glazier, Mick Kearns, and John Sillett. Keyworth, a local product, would go on to become a club legend, scoring 137 goals in 311 appearances. Seated in the front row are Ronald Rees, Ken Hale, John Smith, and Ernest Machin. Machin, a prolific goalscorer, netted 17 goals in the 1966-67 season, helping the team to a strong finish in the Division Two table. Manager Jimmy Hill led Coventry City to promotion to the First Division in the 1966-67 season, marking the beginning of a successful era for the club. This team photo is a testament to the talent and determination of the players and the vision of their manager, who built a team that would make Coventry City a force to be reckoned with in English football.
