This historic photograph captures the moment of pride and innovation at the Malton, Ontario factory of Found Brothers Aviation Ltd., as the first Found FBA-2C CF-NWT-X takes to the skies for its inaugural flight on or around 9 May 1962. The sleek and modern design of the FBA-2C, with its distinctive tail fin and advanced avionics, represented the pinnacle of Canadian aviation engineering at the time. The aircraft, registered as CF-NWT-X, was the result of years of dedication and hard work by the Found Brothers team, who had been working tirelessly to bring their vision to life. The excitement and anticipation were palpable as the FBA-2C taxied down the runway, ready to take off and soar into the skies for the first time.
