Charles Grey Grey (1875-1953), a pioneering figure in the early days of aviation, is captured in this striking photograph as he proudly poses next to an aeroplane in 1953. Grey was a British aviation pioneer who made significant contributions to the development of airplanes and flying techniques. He began his aviation career in 1909, just a few years after the Wright Brothers' first successful powered flight.
