Kirkburton Rapier Dancers, celebrating their 10th anniversary since reforming, hosted a festival of folk dance which brought crowds to the tiny hamlet. As well as the Kirkburton team, there were displays by Sallyport Sword Dancers, of Newcastle; Ringhey Morris Dancers from Cheshire; the Lothian Morris team from Edinburgh; Boughton Monchelsea, from Kent; and the all-female Kebles Queen Clog, from South Yorkshire. 16th June 1985
