Double the Cuteness - Bottlenose Dolphin Duo Masters the Art of Motherhood in Italy's Oltremare Lagoon!

EDITORS COMMENTS
. In this heartwarming snap captured by photographer Augusto Leandro Stanzani, we witness an enchanting moment between a recently born bottlenose dolphin calf and its doting mother. As they gracefully glide through the crystal-clear waters of Riccione, Italy, their bond radiates pure love and affection. The journey to this magical encounter was no easy feat! The expectant mother endured a whopping 54-week pregnancy before giving birth to her precious bundle of joy on July 2nd, 2010 at precisely 8:02 am. Just two and a half hours later, the resilient little calf began nursing from its devoted momma – feeding every two to three hours like clockwork! At birth, this pint-sized wonder weighed approximately 16 kg and measured an adorable length of 120 cm. However, within just twenty days, it managed to pack on some serious baby fat – tipping the scales at an impressive 31 kg! Meet Blue - our incredible mother dolphin hailing from Delphinarium Rimini Italy since her own birth in 1996. And let's not forget about Micha - proud papa who made his way all the way from Cuba back in '89! As these intelligent marine mammals continue their aquatic adventure together under human care (no commercial use intended), they remind us that family bonds know no bounds - even underwater
