Containing offices and residential accommodation, Admiralty Arch incorporates a triumphal arch that acts as an entrance to the ceremonial approach to Buckingham Palace from Trafalgar Square. It was built in 1906-11 by Sir Aston Webb, who later remodelled the main façade of Buckingham Palace. The central archway is used only on ceremonial occasions
