The B-17G, a variant of the legendary Fortress, was the most produced model of the B-17 series, with over 8,600 built between 1943 and 1945. The 532nd Bomb Squadron was part of the 381st Bomb Group, which was activated in the United States in 1942 and deployed to England in 1943.
