Arthur James Balfour, 1st Earl Balfour (1848-1930), a prominent British politician and Prime Minister from 1902 to 1905, is depicted in this satirical caricature by Francis Carruthers Gould, published in 1900. The cartoon, titled "The Indefinite Article - Arthur, James, Balfour," playfully pokes fun at Balfour's name and his political stance.
