Printers Pie was published by The Sphere and Tatler in aid of the Printers Pension, Almshouse and Orphan Asylum Corporation and edited by W. Hugh Spottiswoode. A sister publication, Winters Pie, was published each Christmas. Both magazines carried contributions from the leading artists and humorous writers of the day including John Hassall (who designed the covers), William Heath Robinson, Lawson Wood and Walter Emanuel.
