Dating back to 1901, the image shows Oscar II wearing the traditional uniform of the Swedish army, complete with a blue sash and a grand hat adorned with gold and white feathers. Born on January 16, 1829, Oscar II ascended to the throne of Sweden in 1872, following the death of his father, King Carl XV.
