Members of the TA from Coulby Newham are to take to the water for charity in a marathon sponsored canoe race and they are appealing to Teesside businessmen to back them in the 125 mile race from Devizes, Wiltshire to Westminster to raise £ 2000 for the Samaritans and Cystic Fibrosis. Platoon commander Second Lieut. Brian Meeres, 25, had already had 250 pledged by local companies. Pictured training at Thornaby baths are Pte Mark Charlton, Officer Cadet Alsn Craif and Pte.
