In this electrifying image captured at Pride Park on the 28th of April, 2008, Dutch international striker Robin van Persie of Arsenal Football Club triumphantly lifts the ball above his head in celebration, after scoring one of the six goals Arsenal netted against Derby County during their Barclays Premier League encounter. The goal, which came in the 63rd minute, effectively sealed Arsenal's victory in this high-scoring encounter, with Van Persie's teammates, including Egyptian midfielder Hossam Ghaly of Derby County, looking on in disbelief. The previous season, the two teams had met at the same venue, with Derby County securing a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Arsenal. However, the tables had turned dramatically in the space of twelve months, with Arsenal dominating the game from start to finish. Van Persie, who had joined Arsenal from Feyenoord in 2004, was in scintillating form, scoring a hat-trick in this match, taking his tally for the season to 20 goals.
