The brown front cover has a floral relief border framing a rectangular box with banners inscribed in gold with HAMPTON & SONS/ PALL MALL EAST/ LONDON. S.W.. On the left hand side of the cover, an asymmetic shield is inscribed in gold with the title, DESIGNS FOR FURNITURE AND DECORATIONS FOR COMPLETE HOUSE FURNISHING. The border is decorated with two angels at the top holding a wreath around a crest which shows two roses, a cross, four birds and a portcullis. The border decoration also includes wreaths, cornucopiae, scrolls and fish motifs. The catalogue contains fifty collotype reproductions of artistic interiors in various styles; upwards of 2000 images of furniture photographed from stock, and many coloured illustrations of carpets, linens, blinds, china and glass. The catalogue includes Japanese furniture and japanned ware, as well as details of Hampton & Sons house and estate agency, auction and valuation department and building and decorating department.
