This print showcases the exquisite beauty of Ms 346. Livy, Ab Urbe Condita, 1-10, f. 1r. , an illuminated manuscript created by the Neapolitan School in the 15th century. The incipit page is adorned with a stunning white vine-stem decorated initial [F], which is inhabited by three adorable putti. Surrounding this central feature is a full border teeming with life - putti, birds including a majestic peacock, rabbits frolicking around, and even a collared leopard adding an unexpected touch of wildness. The craftsmanship displayed in this artwork is truly remarkable; every intricate detail has been meticulously executed to create a visual feast for the eyes. The anonymous illuminator from Naples who brought this masterpiece to life between 1465 and 1479 deserves immense praise for their talent.
