The team faced numerous challenges during their expedition, making two unsuccessful summit attempts. Tragically, on the third attempt, seven porters lost their lives as a result of a group-induced avalanche. The party, which included Mallory and Irvine, continued their pursuit of the summit but were never seen again. This historic expedition marked a pivotal moment in mountaineering history, with the team pushing the boundaries of human endurance and exploration.
