This striking photograph captures Christian X, the King of Denmark from 1912 until his death in 1947, dressed in his full regalia as he proudly displays his numerous medals and decorations. Born on October 26, 1870, Christian X ascended to the Danish throne following the death of his father, King Christian IX. His reign spanned over three decades, making him one of the longest-reigning monarchs in Danish history. Christian X is depicted here in a formal setting, wearing the traditional Danish uniform of the Royal Danish Army. The intricate details of the uniform, complete with gold braid, epaulets, and a sash, highlight the grandeur and tradition of the Danish monarchy.
