This delightful comic postcard from the 20th century captures the quintessential British seaside holiday experience, filled with humor and a touch of the unexpected. The image shows three little girls, dressed in their best holiday attire, huddled together on a large pile of sand, looking utterly dejected and marooned from the sea.
