Jean Audeville Fresnoy, a renowned French actor of the 19th century, is depicted in this stunning handcoloured lithograph as Menzicoff in the melodrama "La Famille de Menzicoff." The image is taken from the series "Portraits d'Acteurs et d'Actrices dans différents rôles" by J-J-M Duperche, published by F. Noel in Paris in 1825.
