The Park Lane home of British politician Sir Philip Sassoon(1888-1939), decorated in the French style. Pictured here is the upper landing, featuring Sargents all-black portrait of the late Lady Sassoon over the mantlepice, and French sofa and chairs in crimson damask. 25 Park Lane is situated nearly opposite the Dorchester House, and was later renumbered 45 in 1934.
