The talented actor Geoffrey Bayldon, who portrayed the eccentric title character Catweasel, takes a break during filming scenes for an unforgettable episode. The storyline revolves around Catweasel, an enchanting 11th-century wizard who inadvertently finds himself thrust into the bewildering world of 1969 due to a time-travel mishap. In this particular episode captured in the image, Catweasel concocts a mysterious tonic that is mistaken for fertilizer and results in astonishingly colossal marrows. This remarkable photograph showcases Bayldon amidst the rustic charm of Home Farm in East Clandon near Guildford, Surrey. The first series predominantly utilized this picturesque location as its backdrop during production in 1969. However, by 1970, much of the second series was filmed around the scenic Bayford/Brickendon area in Hertfordshire. As we gaze upon this snapshot frozen in time, our imaginations run wild with wonderment at the magical adventures that unfolded within each episode of "Catweasel and Stoats".
