A giant of a man with a serious message for schoolchildren
A giant of a man with a serious message for schoolchildren...the Green Cross man visited schools in Mid-Warwickshire to encourage the understanding and use of the Green Cross Code. Weighing nineteen stones and standing 6ft. 6in. tall, the Green Cross man - alias David Prowse, who appeared as villain Darth Vader in the popular " Star Wars" films - put the message across in an enjoyable way. In this instance, his audience were the staff and children of St Josephs R.C. Combined School at Whitnash, near Leamington.
