This print takes us back to the summer of 1893, capturing a moment from the Cornwall County Fisheries Exhibition in Truro. Stepping into the exhibition hall through this lens, we are greeted by an impressive display of exhibition tanks that dominate the space. The photograph showcases the interior of the hall, revealing rows upon rows of these tanks filled with various marine creatures. Located at a field atop Lemon Street, this grand exhibition attracted visitors from near and far during its month-long run starting on July 25th. It was a celebration of fishing and fisheries, showcasing Cornwall's rich maritime heritage.
