For the sake of his wife, Prince Nicholas of Romania has a renounced his Royal rights, privileges and titles following a quarrel with his brother, King Carol, who has refused to recognise her as a Princess. Prince Nicholas signed his renunciation at a meeting of the Crown counsel in Bucharest and immediately after drove with his wife and child to his country estate. Princes wife was formerly Mlle Dumitrescu-Tohani, daughter of a Romanian official. She secured a divorce from her first husband, M. Saveaunu and secretly married to Prince in 1931. Prince Nicholas was educated at Eton.
