A VE Day party in Pontardulais, Glamorgan, a strict methodist community

A VE Day party in Pontardulais, Glamorgan, a strict methodist community. The party was probably dry and there isn't much food on the table; maybe it had all been eaten but it wouldn't have been a feast. A solid working community, dressed in their Sunday best. There were 3 coal mines and 6 tin plate works in and around the village. Date: 1945
