Traveling back to 1942 Los Angeles, California unveils an era where young minds were molded for practical purposes. Boys at Polytechnic High School learned navigation fundamentals to become skilled technicians aiding their country's war efforts. Meanwhile, Washington High School students also contributed their skills towards this noble cause. Their dedication exemplified unity and determination as they trained diligently for various roles essential to supporting wartime endeavors. Shifting our focus to Oregon in 1939 brings us face-to-face with a local high school girl who defied societal norms by picking beans near West Stayton.
