The trowel used by Lady Olave Baden Powell in 1959 when she laid the foundation stone for the new Baden Powell House in Queens Gate, South Kensington, London. The site was acquired in 1956, and Ralph Tubbs was appointed architect. The building was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1961, and received a number of awards.
