The creator of this intimate portrait remains unknown, adding an air of mystery to its historical significance. The central figure in this photograph is none other than Albert Frederick Arthur George, who would later become King George VI on December 11th, 1936. This image captures him before his ascension to the throne when he was still known as the Duke of York. Standing beside him is his beloved wife Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes Lyon, who would go on to be remembered as Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.
