The Victoria Park development in Macclesfield, lying between the park and the centre of town, was built by Laing in two phases using the 12M Jespersen system. Providing around 500 flats, the design consisted of thirteen interlinked blocks forming a series of courts with landscaped gardens. The first phase was completed in 1968 with the second phase started in the same year. In June 1968, an article in Laings monthly newsletter Team Spirit mentions that the mural, which was on a main approach to the estate, was designed by Christine Bailey of Macclesfield County High School and was painted by a group of her school friends under the supervision of two members of staff. The mural depicted a collage of Macclesfield with patterns of its famous silks and buttons intermingled with landmarks and mills in the town

Framed and mounted 9x7 print. Professionally handmade full timber moulded frames are finished off with framers tape and come with a hanging solution on the back. Outer dimensions are 13.5x11.5 inches (34x29cm). Quality timber frame frame moulding (20mm wide and 30mm deep) with frame colours in your choice of black, white, or raw oak and a choice of black or white card mounts. Frames have a perspex front providing a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish which is easily cleaned with a damp cloth.
