King of England, Scotland, France, and Ireland, andc. to His Holiness Innocent XI, Lenardi, Giovanni Battista, 1656-1704, Westerhout, Arnold van, 1651-1725, Wright, John Michael, ca. 1617-ca. 1694, Etching, 1688, The table sculptures were designed for the banquet given by British Ambassador Roger Palmer, Earl of Castlemaine, in Rome on January 14, 1687. The gods are personifications of Fire and Water in an allegorical composition on the Four Elements, which also included sculptures of Cybele and Juno.
