At the center, the iconic Gumbo-limbo tree (Bursera simaruba) stretches its gnarled trunk towards the sky, its red bark peeling off in ribbons, earning it the local name "Chaca Tree" or "Copperwood." To the left, the broad sea fan coral (Eunicella verrucosa), also known as the warty gorgonian, unfurls its vibrant, fan-like structure, teeming with colorful marine life.
